States Push to Update Tax Information for 2023

IOWA – Taxable Wage Base Increase for 2023
The taxable wage base in Iowa is set at $36,100 for 2023. This is an increase of $1,300 from 2022.

MICHIGAN – Taxable Wage Base Remains the Same for 2023
The taxable wage base in Michigan is set at $9,500 for 2023. This is unchanged from 2022.

NEBRASKA – Taxable Wage Base Remains the Same for 2023
The taxable wage base in Nebraska is set at $9,000 for 2023. This is unchanged from 2022. Employers with a negative rated account will be subject to a $24,000 taxable wage base in 2023.

NEW JERSEY – Taxable Wage Base Increase for 2023
The taxable wage base in New Jersey is set at $41,100 for 2023. This is an increase of $1,300 from 2022. The State Disability taxable wage base will be set at $156,800 for 2023. This is an increase of $4,900 from 2022.

NORTH DAKOTA – Taxable Wage Base Increase for 2023
The taxable wage base in North Dakota is set at $40,800 for 2023. This is an increase of $2,400 from 2022.

OKLAHOMA –Taxable Wage Base Increase for 2023
The taxable wage base in Oklahoma is set to rise to $25,700 for 2023, this is an increase of $900 from 2022.

OREGON –Taxable Wage Base Increase for 2023
The taxable wage base in Oregon is set to rise to $50,900 for 2023, this is an increase of $3,200 from 2022.

PENNSYLVANIA – Taxable Wage Base Remains the Same for 2023
The taxable wage base in Pennsylvania is set at $10,000 for 2023. This is unchanged from 2022.

RHODE ISLAND –Taxable Wage Base Increase for 2023
The taxable wage base in Rhode Island is set to rise to $28,200 for 2023, this is an increase of $3,600 from 2022. For employers at the highest tax rate (9.7%) in 2023, the taxable wage base will be $29,700.
