COLORADO – FAMLI Deadlines

On January 1, 2024, Colorado’s Family and Medical Leave Insurance program went into effect. Providing paid leave to qualified Colorado employees, the new program has several employer requirements with upcoming January 31 deadlines.

  1. Employers must update their 2024 total employee headcount on Colorado’s My FAMLI+ Employer site to ensure an accurate determination of FAMLI premium rates. If not updated, headcount will be determined based on reported employee wages from 2023. Employers with ten or more employees are required to send in the full 0.9% FAMLI premium, while those with nine or fewer employees are responsible for sending the 0.45% employee’s share of the premium for all four quarters in 2024.
  2. Q4 FAMLI premiums and wage reports are also due on January 31.
