NEW MEXICO – DISASTER/EMERGENCY WAITING PERIOD WAIVER INTRODUCED

A bill in New Mexico, HB 249, has passed through its committee and will be brought to the House floor. The bill would allow for a waiver of the one-week required waiting period for unemployment benefits when there is a declared disaster or emergency.
