Delaware – Increased Taxable Wage Base for 2027
The taxable wage base will increase to $16,500 in 2027, a 13.8% increase from $14,500 in 2026.
Texas – New Texas Unemployment System (TxUS) Will Also Implement New Wage Report Specifications
The new Texas Unemployment System (TxUS) will require additional data fields for Enhanced Wage Records reporting. Specifications will differ from those currently used. Therefore, system updates will be required from employers to ensure compatibility.
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Unemployment Insurance Tax Department recently shared new specifications to provide employers adequate time to review and update the required data fields before rollout.
At this time, the state does not have a finalized go-live date for the new TxUS system. They will provide an update here when that information is available.
