Andrea Cooper is the Senior Director for Human Resources Compliance at CoreCivic, where she oversees the company’s affirmative action program and compliance with other federal and state employment laws. Andrea integrates business strategy with employment law requirements, including EEO compliance, leave and accommodations, pre-employment screening, and reductions in force.

She also supports the company’s DEI Council and execution of corporate DEI strategy. Andrea has been with CoreCivic for nine years. Prior to that, she served as Assistant Commissioner for Rehabilitation Services for the Tennessee Department of Human Services.

She is an attorney and a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School.
