TAX REMINDER – How to Avoid Penalty Rates for 2023

Tax rate notices for 2023 will be issued soon and employers who have outstanding quarterly tax reports and/or contributions due could be assigned a penalty rate for 2023.  Please review your records and communications from your tax analyst to ensure that all outstanding balances are resolved now to avoid a potential penalty rate for 2023.  If you have any questions, please reach out to your Thomas & Company tax analyst.

NEVADA – Taxable Wage Base Issued for 2023

The taxable wage base in Nevada will be $40,100 effective January 1, 2023.  The new taxable wage base is $3,500 higher than the 2022 wage base of $36,600.
