The holidays are approaching fast. Our Customer Support Center will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 24 and on Friday, November 25, our Customer Support Center hours will be shortened. GEORGIA – State Separation Notice Clarification
As you are aware, the State of Georgia requires employers to provide a notice to separated employees about the availability of unemployment benefits. We received clarification from Georgia that it is acceptable to deliver the completed and signed separation notice, DOL-800 (R-7/21) electronically to separated employees by whatever electronic means the employer wishes to use. This does not represent any change in requirement but is a clarification from the state that electronic methods such as text or email are acceptable delivery methods.
