The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment will be rolling out a new system, MyUI Employer+, for employers and third-party administrators (TPAs) on October 3rd, 2023. The current MyUI Employer system will shut down at 5PM on Wednesday, September 27 and will be inaccessible between September 27 and October 3 for employers and TPAs.
When the new system rolls out, Thomas & Company will take the necessary steps to re-enroll as a TPA; however, there is also action needed on your behalf as an employer. Beginning October 3rd, employers will need to complete a one-time activation process. Employers with an active UI account will receive a PIN by either email or USPS, depending on your currently selected communication preferences. If you do not receive a PIN by October 6th, you can contact Colorado Employer Services at 303-318-9100.
Once the PIN is received, you will need to access the MyUI Employer+ page on Colorado’s website, selecting “Employer Account.” The link will also be included in your PIN email. Entering the PIN will allow you to activate your new employer account, linking your account to your historical data. Further instructions will be included on the webpage at the time of rollout. These steps must be completed by you as the employer and cannot be handled by Thomas & Company (or any other TPAs).
All TPA relationships existing prior to the site shutdown will be honored and automatically transitioned to the new system. According to the state, this list will be finalized on October 2nd. No further action will be necessary for those relationships. Moving forward, employers will need to authorize new and/or changing TPA relationships via the “Account Management” tools within the new system.
Please note, unemployment claims management will not be disrupted during this downtime. Thomas & Company will continue to receive relevant notices through the SIDES platform for review, communication, and processing.
