ARIZONA – TECHNICAL GLITCH WITH SYSTEM DISRUPT BENEFITS
Some Arizonians are being impacted by a system glitch, causing an issue with receiving benefits. When Arizona launched their new unemployment system, otherwise known as CACTUS, it was touted as a modernized platform to help serve both claimants and employers. However, when the system went live, payments for certain claimants stopped.
According to a statement from the Arizona Department of Economic Security, this is impacting only a small number of claimants who have recently addressed prior overpayments. The state is working diligently to resolve those being impacted but have indicated that they are being slowed by staff reductions resulting from federal funding cuts earlier this year.
