COLORADO – PAYMENT PROCESSING ISSUES RESOLVED
UI Payment issues associated with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, previously reported in our June 5 bulletin, have now been resolved. Resolutions include:
- Scheduled Payments – Users are now able to schedule payments for future dates.
- Incorrect Interest and Penalties Removed – The Department continues working to identify and waive any incorrect penalties associated with these previous payment issues.
- Unprocessed Paper Check Payments – Paper check payments from legacy or newer employer accounts, which previously were not credited, have been processed and posted.
VERMONT – CONTRIBUTION RATES ANNOUNCED, WEEKLY BENEFIT AMOUNT UPDATE
The first of the mid-year states – Vermont – has announced contribution rates for 2024-2025. The state will be using Rate Schedule I for the year, resulting in rates ranging from 0.4% to 5.4%. The new employer rates will remain the same, including 1% for new employers, 2.2% for out-of-state building construction employers, 3.9% for heavy and civil engineering construction employers, and 2.8% for specialty trade contractors.
Additionally, the Vermont Department of Labor announced an increase to the maximum weekly benefit amount. Effective July 7, 2024, the maximum weekly benefit amount will be $729, up from $705.
