COLORADO – TAXABLE WAGE BASE INCREASE

The taxable wage base in Colorado will increase in 2025 to $27,200, up 14.29% from $23,800 in 2024.

IOWA – ADDITIONAL DUA AVAILABLE

Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) continues to be available to individuals who were affected by the recent severe storms, including straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding that began on June 16 in Iowa. Benefits may now be available to individuals who live(d) or work(ed) in Dickinson, Humboldt, and Palo Alto counties, if otherwise eligible.

Previously, DUA benefit availability in Iowa was announced for Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien, Plymouth, Sioux, and Woodbury counties.

Individuals must file a claim online through the Iowa Workforce Development’s Unemployment Benefits Online Application System. Applications must be submitted by August 23.

KANSAS – WEEKLY BENEFIT AMOUNT INCREASE

The maximum weekly benefit amount in Kansas was recently increased. For claimants filing on or after July 1, 2024, the maximum weekly benefit amount is $612, up from $589. The minimum weekly benefit amount remains at $153.

NEW YORK – TAXABLE WAGE BASE INCREASE

The taxable wage base in New York will increase in 2025 to $12,800, up 2.40% from $12,500 in 2024.

NEVADA – TAXABLE WAGE BASE INCREASE

The taxable wage base in Nevada will increase in 2025 to $41,800, up 2.96% from $40,600 in 2024.
