ARIZONA – 2025 TAX RATES AND TAXABLE WAGE BASE ASSIGNED
Tax rates for Arizona employers were announced, showing a decrease in all rate categories from 2024. Rates for positive ratio groups will range from 0.04% to 4.68%, zero ratio employers will be assigned a 4.86% tax rate, and rates for negative ratio groups will range from 5.13% to 9.72%. The new employer rate will remain at 2.00%.
The taxable wage base will remain the same at $8,000 for 2024.
COLORADO – ANNUAL REMINDER TO AUTHORIZE THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATOR
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment has sent a notification to all employers with a reminder to authorize third-party administrators. As part of this request, employers should confirm Thomas & Company is assigned these roles:
- Edit Account Maintenance
- Edit Benefit Charges
- Edit Claims Forms Mailing
- View Employment and Wage Detail
- View Rate Notice and Voluntary Contribution
- View Tax Payments Update and Submit
The other roles available to assign should be reserved for a Payroll/Tax TPA and should not be assigned to Thomas & Company.

COLORADO – FAMLI HEADCOUNT UPDATES DUE FEBRUARY 28
Colorado employers are reminded to update their employee headcount to ensure correct premiums for 2025. If an employer’s annual total employee headcount is not updated by February 28, 2025, the FAMLI Division will assume you have 10 or more employees and you will be liable for the full 0.9% of wages.
As a reminder, total headcounts do not carry over from the previous year. Therefore, regardless of any changes (or lack thereof) employers must submit an accurate employee headcount.
NORTH CAROLINA – TAXABLE WAGE BASE INCREASED
The taxable wage base in North Carolina will increase to $32,600, up 3.8% from $31,400.
OKLAHOMA – TAXABLE WAGE BASE INCREASE
The taxable wage base in Oklahoma will increase to $28,200, up 4.4% from $27,000.
VIRGIN ISLANDS – TAXABLE WAGE BASE, WEEKLY BENEFIT AMOUNT INCREASED
The taxable wage base in the Virgin Islands will increase to $31,100, up .32% from $31,000.
The weekly benefit amount will also increase, up to $648.
