HOLIDAY REMINDER – July 4th
- Our offices will be closed on Monday, July 4th for the observance of Independence Day. We’d like to wish you all a happy July 4th, and we hope you experience a fantastic collection of freedom, fun, food, and family over the holiday weekend.
CONNECTICUT– ReEmployCT Goes Live on July 5th
- Just another reminder that the new CT system will launch on July 5th. All Second Quarter, 2022 tax filings must be filed in the new system and employers and their agents will need to establish new credentials in the new system for access.
IOWA – Weekly Benefit Amount Increase Effective July 3
- Effective July 3, the maximum weekly benefit amount in Iowa will increase to $551 per week for claimants with no dependents. For claimants with dependents, the maximum amounts will also increase. For one dependent the maximum will be $572, with 2 dependents $593, with 3 dependents $624, and for claimants with 4 or more dependents the maximum amount is $676
IOWA – Taxable Wage Base Increase for 2023
- The 2023 taxable wage base in Iowa will increase to $36,100. This represents a $1,300 increase in the 2022 taxable wage base of $34,800.
MICHIGAN– Registration and Seeking Work Waivers Available for Temporary Shutdowns
- If you are a Michigan employer who will have a temporary shutdown, did you know that you can request a Request Seeking Work Waiver (RSW) that exempts your employees from having to register for work and actively seeking another position during the duration of the shutdown. To qualify for an RSW waiver the separations must be for a lack of work, MI UIA must be notified 14 days in advance, and work is expected to resume within 45 calendar days of the last day worked. These waivers can be completed online using your Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM). Look for the Benefit Services section under the Account Services tab and click on Request Seeking Work Waiver.
