Washington State Unemployment Taxable Wage Base Rise in 2019

The Washington Employment Security Department announced today that the unemployment taxable wage base is set to rise to $49,800 in 2019, up from $47,300 in 2018.

The wage base takes effect Jan. 1, 2019. The Department’s unemployment tax rates for 2019 are expected to be finalized in December.
